The Need for Speed

A known issue: DNN Website slowdown caused by IIS Application Startup. But what to do with it. Description: - IIS6/ win2003 issue (“MS feature”); - (interactive/ .Net) websites on IIS6 run as an application on the webserver; - to save resources on the webserver the application/ website is “released” (unloaded) when there are no pagerequests during a certain time; - default time-out at 20 min.
DNN Maintenance: Growing Pains....

We're back... Spain was good, warm and inspirational (the Salvador Dali Museum in Figueras can be recommended) and the stay too short. Leaving the mountains behind I ran into a DNN obstacle on my return. The provider helpdesk kindly reminded me of crossing the disksize limits of my account. This seamed unlikely but I had a look nevertheless. More than 300 Mb. they said it had gone past the red line. .......

For two days I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out why the original Members page of this site was messed up so badly by the use of the User Account module. After installing it and some initial good working, I couldn't get access to any of the other modules on the page anymore.......
